Help us have their back.

First responders run toward the calls the rest of us run from. Your gift makes sure that when the call follows them home, support is already there.
Donations
The ability to donate is coming soon. Please check back later for more details.
Why Give

The need is real, and it's growing.

About 1 in 3 first responders will face a behavioral-health condition like PTSD in their career. Firefighters and police officers are now more likely to die by suicide than in the line of duty. Roughly 37% of EMS personnel and firefighters have considered suicide, close to ten times the rate of the general public.

Behind every one of those numbers is a person who showed up for a stranger on the worst day of their life. Your gift helps make sure someone shows up for them.

What We Do

A connector and a funder, not a replacement.

Peer Response is a lean, volunteer-led nonprofit. Your donation funds the work directly.
Training a peer supporter so a department has someone equipped to recognize the signs and have the hard conversation.
Continuing education that keeps trained peers certified and sharp year after year.
Helping departments build programs so peer support is a permanent fixture, not a one-time class.
Keeping the network running so a responder anywhere in the region can find a confidential connection when they need one.
A Wisconsin 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting first responder peer support.
